Mahjong Solitaire is the main game on TheMahjong.com. The rules are easy to understand: match open pairs of identical tiles and clear the board. There are more than 260 layouts, such as Turtle and Bridges. They all follow the same basic rules, but each layout changes the shape of the board and the way the game unfolds.

Mahjong Connect has its own rules. You remove matching tiles when they can be connected by a clear path that does not pass through other tiles. As the board clears, more pairs can become available, so one move may open the way to the next.

Mahjong Connect Gravity uses the same matching rule, but the tiles do not stay in place. After a pair is removed, the remaining tiles shift into the empty spaces. This changes the board as you play and can make the next match appear in a different part of the layout.
